Universe of Discourse!

Amazing , aint it ?

The way you analyze something written, spoken or a gesture: lets say! Can you go beyond the author? What do *DISCOURSE ANALYSTS* do, and what are they paid for? Do they necessarily get it all?

Well, thats an appealing topic for sure! I am NO analyst, but a mere admirer. I am an admirer of words, syntaxes, semantics, languages, grammars.. COME ON , we have aplenty of them. They make genres of discourse. They make it HEAP! Thats the best part why i CRAVE for literature! Me writing this, You reading this: and YOU thinking, what i was thinking while i wrote this! *MATCHES* [ please smile, i just tickled your brain ].

REF: Wikipedia
The term "universe of discourse" generally refers to the entire set of terms used in a specific discourse, i.e. the family of linguistic or semantic terms that are specific to any one area of interest. In model-theoretical semantics, the term "universe of discourse" refers to the set of entities that a model is based on.

What is the thin line between how people analyze what you are saying, and what EXACTLY you mean to say? Even sometimes later, you might also believe you meant what people analyzed! Funny? Yes, it is! Mythical? Yes, it is! Awesome! Its only Words! Pragmatics! Freakin' Awesome: i would say! :)
